Rwanda has encouraged international travel professionals to visit the country and work with local tourism operators, following its participation in World Travel Market (WTM) London.
Issa Mugabutsinze, Second Counsellor at Rwanda’s High Commission in the United Kingdom, delivered the invitation during a reception in London on Thursday, 5 November 2026.
Speaking on behalf of High Commissioner Johnston Busingye, Mugabutsinze urged guests to experience Rwanda’s attractions and connect with businesses in its tourism industry.
Rwandan businesses meet international travel partners
World Travel Market London took place from 3 to 5 November at Excel London. The exhibition brought together tourism authorities, travel companies and buyers from across the international travel industry.
The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) joined Rwandan tour operators, travel agents, RwandAir and the country’s High Commission in London at the event.

RDB said the delegation showcased Rwanda’s tourism experiences, met international travel trade partners and explored business opportunities to attract more visitors. The activities formed part of its work to expand Rwanda’s presence in global tourism markets.
Rwandan exhibitors included Afriexperience and African Unique Safaris & Tours, according to WTM’s official directory. Both companies shared the Rwanda Development Board stand.
Afriexperience presented services covering private safaris, cultural and culinary experiences, business travel and ground transport. African Unique Safaris & Tours promoted gorilla trekking, wildlife safaris and itineraries spanning several countries.
WTM describes the exhibition as a marketplace where travel professionals discover destinations, source tourism products and conduct business.
Its event information lists representation from more than 180 countries, alongside thousands of exhibitors and travel buyers.
Wildlife, forests and lakes feature in tourism offering
Visit Rwanda promotes a range of destinations and activities, including mountain gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park and wildlife safaris in Akagera National Park.
Its tourism materials also feature boat trips on Lake Kivu and mountain hikes. Nyungwe National Park offers chimpanzee tracking and a network of forest trails.
Hiking routes extend through western Rwanda, from the volcanic mountains in the north to the shores of Lake Kivu and Nyungwe in the southwest.
Visit Rwanda lists routes for different experience levels, including Mount Muhabura and trails around the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo.
Rwanda seeks tourism representation in overseas markets
Rwanda’s tourism outreach also includes efforts to appoint professional representatives in overseas markets.

In a notice dated 22 May 2026, RDB and Rwanda’s diplomatic mission serving the UK, Malta and Ireland invited qualified firms to submit proposals for tourism market representation services in those countries.
A separate notice issued in May invited proposals for representation in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Belgium. RDB launched that process in collaboration with Rwanda’s embassies in Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
