Ghanaian recruitment platform SokoJob announced a free artificial intelligence-powered CV builder on 27 October 2026, bringing document preparation and job searching into one service. The company says the tool has been operating since July.
The builder collects information about a candidate’s experience, education and skills through a conversation. It then drafts the CV’s sections, offers 10 layouts and produces a PDF, according to its product page.
A Conversation Instead of a Blank Template
SokoJob presents the tool as an alternative to writing and formatting a document from scratch. Users provide their background, review the generated wording and select a design.
The company says the process works on mobile phones without requiring a laptop or design experience. Its templates include single-column, two-column and compact formats. These are product features described by SokoJob, rather than findings from an independent usability assessment.
The approach could reduce the formatting work involved in preparing an application. However, producing a polished document does not establish that its contents accurately represent a candidate or that an employer will shortlist them.
Company Reports More Than 2,800 CVs Created
SokoJob reports that users have created over 2,800 CVs since July, with four in five used in job applications. It also says published candidate profiles increased from 7,500 to more than 10,000.
According to the company, the proportion completing a CV within two days rose from approximately one in 15 to one in four. It says completed documents typically take about an hour to prepare.
These are company-reported activity measures. They do not establish how many candidates secured interviews or employment, nor do they independently demonstrate that the builder caused the reported improvement.
CV Preparation Connects With Job Searching
The launch announcement describes a function that directs candidates to vacancies matching their intended role. Account holders can also save their CV to a profile that employers can review.
SokoJob says it checks employers behind advertised vacancies. The announcement does not provide enough detail to independently assess the scope or effectiveness of those checks.
Account Requirements Differ Across Official Pages
The announcement says users can download a watermarked CV without registering, while a free account removes the watermark. However, the product page’s FAQ states that users need a free account to save their CV and download the PDF.
