Dramatic video captures the instant police encountered Katie Price at Heathrow airport following her apprehension for missing court.
Ex-glamour model Price, 46, was held on the airport tarmac nine days after an arrest warrant was issued by a High Court judge.
Before going back home to face the music, Katie had been basking in the sun at a five-star hotel in Istanbul, Turkey, laughing in the face of justice.
Just hours before her scheduled court appearance on Tuesday, she took a British Airways flight from the United Kingdom to Istanbul as part of her £760,000 bankruptcy battle.
JJ and Harvey went with 46-year-old Katie on the face-altering holiday.
On Thursday at 7:20 p.m., the ex-Page 3 girl touched down again in the United Kingdom via British Airways.
After being detained, the former beauty model was scheduled to appear in person in the Royal Courts of Justice today.
The Sun, however, is aware that she was granted bail in the middle of the night and will instead make a virtual appearance at the High Court.
It follows the following statement from a Met spokesman last night: “A Surrey woman, 46, was detained at Heathrow Airport on Thursday, August 8 at 19:45 hours for failing to appear in court.
“She will make her appearance at the Royal Courts of Justice tomorrow, Friday, August 9, after being remanded in custody at a west London police station.”
Price asked for her son Harvey’s “protection” in a statement released yesterday.
“I am aware that I am going to be detained at the airport, as the courts clearly feel is necessary,” she wrote.
“I sincerely hope that they will grant my kid, who is with me, some respect and protection, if only for his benefit, as he will find this to be very upsetting.
“Whilst I understand the importance and severity of the matter I do feel like I am being treated like a criminal.”
The mother of five was mandated to pay creditors £25,000 as a lump sum and then £12,500 per month after that.
According to Judge Burton, Katie did not follow through on the court’s payment orders.
“She has no real excuse in failing to attend the hearing,” she stated.
“The reason for her absence is irrelevant.”
Bailiffs swooped in and handed Katie with an eviction notice, telling her to vacate her £2 million Mucky Mansion by the end of May.
On July 5, she was scheduled to turn in her six vehicles: a Volkswagen Beetle, a Nissan, two Range Rovers, a Suzuki Vitara, and an Infiniti FX50.
The singer also promised to give up her pink Range Rover, but she hasn’t done so yet, the court was informed.
She had been receiving several treatments while tanning in the 31°C heat in the upscale hotel.
After her regular surgeon declined to do the necessary operation, Katie travelled to Istanbul and spent £10,000 on eye and subchinal surgery.
