Microsoft is urging users to transition to Windows 11, as support for Windows 10 nears its end. The company is introducing a range of AI-driven enhancements to the latest version of its operating system, aiming to deliver a more intuitive and efficient user experience.

According to a report by The Indian Express, Microsoft has confirmed the integration of AI capabilities into Windows Search. This upgrade transforms the search functionality, making it more intelligent and user-friendly.
Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft’s Vice President and Consumer Chief Marketing Officer, highlighted the advancements in a press release. “With AI-powered search, users no longer need to recall exact file names or locations. Windows will interpret your intent and retrieve the relevant document, image, file, or email. This feature simplifies finding virtually anything on your device,” Mehdi explained.
The revamped search experience on Windows 11 draws parallels to Google’s “Search with Google Lens,” enabling users to search the web using images. Microsoft’s AI-driven search will allow users to locate images, documents, videos, and more through straightforward text-based queries. It will also integrate seamlessly with local storage and OneDrive, offering comprehensive search results.
However, this advanced functionality will be limited to Copilot + branded PCs featuring Qualcomm, Intel, or AMD processors equipped with dedicated neural processing units (NPUs). The feature will initially roll out to the Windows Insider community before becoming widely available to the public.
Microsoft’s commitment to innovation through AI underscores its efforts to enhance productivity and user convenience in its flagship operating system.
