
ITM AFRICA LTD, a world leading HR Services provider is recruiting a OPERATIONS MANAGER on behalf of PANCO KIDSWEAR.
POSITION: OPERATIONS MANAGER
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Operational Oversight:
- Ensure all store operations are running efficiently and in alignment with company policies.
- Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance productivity.
- Conduct regular audits to maintain high standards of store performance.
2. Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise store employees to create a motivated and high-performing team.
- Develop staff schedules and manage shift rotations to ensure optimal coverage.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations, addressing any issues promptly.
3. Sales and Customer Experience:
- Work with the sales team/store attendants to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Analyze customer feedback and implement strategies to improve the shopping experience.
- Resolve escalated customer complaints and issues professionally.
4. Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
- Oversee inventory control, stock levels, and replenishment processes.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of stock and monitor quality.
- Minimize shrinkage and conduct periodic stock audits.
5. Financial Oversight:
- Monitor daily financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability.
- Prepare operational budgets and reports for review by senior management.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or service.
6. Marketing and Promotions:
- Develop and execute promotional activities and events.
- Analyze the effectiveness of marketing strategies and suggest improvements.
- Ensure in-store displays are visually appealing and aligned with seasonal themes.
7. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure the store complies with all local laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Train staff on safety protocols and conduct regular safety checks.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies.
YOU WILL BE AN IDEAL CANDIDATE IF YOU POSSESS THE FOLLOWING PROFFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in retail operations management or a similar role.
- Experience in managing kidswear, fashion, or retail stores is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in using inventory management and POS systems.
- Analytical skills for budgeting, reporting, and process improvement
