$1.13B in Crypto Liquidations as Market Turns Red

The crypto market faced a rough 24 hours, with over $1.13 billion in liquidations across major exchanges. Data from Coinglass shows that 252,502 traders lost positions, with $1.04 billion wiped out from long bets and $83.88 million from shorts.

Ethereum (ETH) led the losses with $428.11 million liquidated, followed by Bitcoin (BTC) at $273.60 million, and Solana (SOL) at $75.20 million. Other altcoins, including Avalanche (AVAX), XRP, and Dogecoin (DOGE), also contributed to the sell-off. The single largest liquidation, $29.12 million, occurred in the ETH-USD market on Hyperliquid.

One trader reportedly lost $45 million on an Ethereum bet, leaving less than $500,000 after ETH dropped below $4,000. Ethereum fell 5.92% from its daily high of $4,273 to $3,924, while Bitcoin slid from $113,660 to $108,823.

Overall, the total crypto market value dropped 3.95% to $3.73 trillion, signaling a turbulent day for traders.
