King Faisal Hospital Rwanda, a premier institution known for excellence in healthcare, clinical education, and research, is seeking qualified Cooks to join our dedicated team. Position: Cook (2 Positions)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with dietitians to prepare meals tailored to nutritional requirements and medical conditions.
  • Maintain hygiene and food safety standards; enforce PPE use and monitor staff health.
  • Track food usage stock, and implement FIFO practices.
  • Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance, coordinate servicing, and ensure compliance with inventory policies.
  • Handle daily operations, address complaints, and submit reports by the 5th of each month.
  • Prepare contingency plans for catering during emergencies.
  • Keep accurate records of kitchen activities, inspections, and equipment performance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Advanced Certificate in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of professional cooking experience in a hospital setting.
  • Additional certifications in health, quality assurance, or risk management are a plus.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills and understanding of food safety protocols.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Familiarity with kitchen machinery and hospital quality management systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and resolve operational issues effectively.
