Position: Cook (2 Positions)
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with dietitians to prepare meals tailored to nutritional requirements and medical conditions.
- Maintain hygiene and food safety standards; enforce PPE use and monitor staff health.
- Track food usage stock, and implement FIFO practices.
- Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance, coordinate servicing, and ensure compliance with inventory policies.
- Handle daily operations, address complaints, and submit reports by the 5th of each month.
- Prepare contingency plans for catering during emergencies.
- Keep accurate records of kitchen activities, inspections, and equipment performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum Advanced Certificate in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field.
- At least 2 years of professional cooking experience in a hospital setting.
- Additional certifications in health, quality assurance, or risk management are a plus.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills and understanding of food safety protocols.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Familiarity with kitchen machinery and hospital quality management systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and resolve operational issues effectively.
