Elon Musk, the founder of companies including Tesla, which manufactures electric cars, has set a record by becoming the first person in history to have a net worth of more than $500 billion.
The growth of Musk’s fortune mainly comes from the surge in Tesla’s market value as well as his other companies. He is now the first person ever to amass $500 billion in wealth in the history of the world.
Currently, Musk still leads the list of the world’s richest individuals, followed by Oracle founder Larry Ellison, whose fortune stands at $350.7 billion.
