From Studio to Stardom: Yago Thrilled by Album’s Turnover

In the ongoing summer in Rwanda as well as around the world, the artists are busy cooking something delicious to serve their fans, one of them is Yago Pon Dat who released his second album . Before jumping, let’s catch glimpse of Yago’s background.

Brief Yago’s history

Yago Pon Dat as the one of the popular artist in Rwanda as well as East Africa, was born as NYARWAYA Innocent, he grew up with music passion but unfortunately started as journalist, though dreams came to be true and he joined music career in November, 2023 whereby he released his first song “Suwejo” [according to The New Times post]. His first album was launched on December, 22, 2023 and it collected Overwhelming songs like: Suwejo, Rata, Si swing, Umuhoza, Yahweh, Original copy, Alright, True love, Naremeye, My love along with Vis a vis.

He kept conquering Rwandans ears by using his unique lyrics writing skills and deep connection with fans, recently he released new album “Yago Life II” he used social media to share his excitement and disbelief. His genuine reaction? Pure joy — and rightly so. His album not only topped local charts but also proved that well-produced, culturally resonant music can deliver real commercial success.

“I am thanking Rwandan and Ugandans who are playing my Album, My album has hit ten thousands and above of listeners in eleven days” Yago shared.
