Spotify Updates Its AI DJ Feature Here’s What’s New

This week, Spotify rolled out updates to its AI-powered DJ feature, previously available only to Premium users, making it easier to request songs using typed text instead of just voice commands.

How Spotify DJ Works:

• The DJ feature uses artificial intelligence to learn your favorite songs, artists, genres, and moods, then plays music it thinks you’ll enjoy.
• It also acts like a radio host, announcing songs and occasionally giving commentary to enhance the listening experience.

What’s New:

1. Text Requests: Users can now type song requests instead of speaking them aloud.
2. Expanded Languages: Originally available only in English (AI DJ), it now also works in Spanish (DJ Livi).
3. Song and Genre Suggestions: The AI DJ can provide recommendations for songs or genres, especially helpful when you’re unsure what to listen to.
4. Interactive Controls: To start, search for “DJ” in Spotify and tap Play.
   • To change a song or genre, use the DJ button at the bottom of the screen to type or speak your requests.
5. Request Flexibility: You can request music by genre, mood, artist, or current activity.

The updated AI DJ feature is now available in over 60 countries, offering a more personalized and interactive listening experience in both English and Spanish.
