Residents of Rwanda will witness a Supermoon on Thursday, December 4, 2025. The moon will appear larger and brighter than usual.

What a Supermoon Is

A Supermoon occurs when the full moon is closest to Earth in its orbit. This makes it appear bigger and more luminous in the night sky.

When to See the Supermoon

In Rwanda, the Supermoon will be visible from 6:15 PM to 6:30 PM, remaining in the sky until around 5:30–6:00 AM.
This is the third time the moon will appear in this way in 2025.

Next Supermoon Event

Experts say the next Supermoon will occur on January 3, 2026.
This will be the last Supermoon of 2025.
