Trump Appoints Dan Scavino to Lead White House Personnel Office, Names Sergio Gor Ambassador to India

U.S. President Donald J. Trump has announced a key change within his administration, appointing longtime aide Dan Scavino to head the White House Presidential Personnel Office.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Trump praised Scavino, describing him as “great” and commending his loyalty and experience. Scavino, who will continue to serve as Deputy Chief of Staff, will now oversee one of the most influential offices in the White House responsible for selecting and appointing nearly all government positions.

Scavino has been one of Trump’s closest allies since the early days of his political career, known for his strong presence on social media and his role in shaping the administration’s communication strategy.

Trump also announced that Sergio Gor, who previously led the Presidential Personnel Office, will be appointed U.S. Ambassador to India. The former president thanked Gor for his “wonderful job” in the position and expressed confidence in his new diplomatic role.

“Congratulations Dan, you will do a fantastic job!!!” Trump wrote, concluding his announcement with his signature enthusiasm.

The reshuffle highlights Trump’s continued reliance on trusted figures from his inner circle as he refines the leadership structure of his administration.
