A Rwandan-founded eco‑friendly footwear brand that recycles waste car tires into durable, stylish shoe soles using the “4R” method—Recycle, Reuse, Recover, Reduce. It was started in 2013 by co‑founders Kevine Kagirimpundu and Ysolde Shimwe, who met at the University of Rwanda. They created the brand to tackle environmental pollution and youth (especially women) unemployment in Kigali neighborhoods. As of 2021, over 1 million old tyres recycled, 10 businesses created, over 1 million pairs donated, and 1,065 people trained—70 % of whom are women. Uzuriky also runs the Hatua TVET e‑learning platform, teaching shoemaking and entrepreneurship skills, enabling many graduates to gain employment or start micro‑businesses. Moreover, it’s a Certified B Corporation, recognized for meeting high standards of social/environmental impact and transparency.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, ideally in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting and Proficiency officiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills , Ability to work independently and meet tight deadline
