Project Description:
Support the Security & Privacy Team in defending the organization against cyber threats. Assist in access and asset management, monitoring security alerts, analyzing threat data, and responding to incidents. Contribute to zero trust, workstation security, and threat intelligence initiatives.

Scope of Work:

• Review SIEM alerts, logs, and audit trails to identify security incidents.
• Analyze threat intelligence feeds and identify indicators of compromise (IOCs) and emerging threats.
• Participate in threat hunting and correlate internal monitoring data with external intelligence.
• Respond to security incidents following SOC analyst playbooks.
• Maintain inventory of authorized and unauthorized devices.
• Support device compliance and user access management.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.

Key Deliverables:

• Detailed SOC reports summarizing reviewed alerts and escalated incidents.
• Documentation of investigation and threat hunting activities.
• Up-to-date inventory of authorized and unauthorized devices.
• Compliance reports on non-compliant devices or systems.
• Updates to log sources integrated into SIEM.
• Contributions to access control review reports.

Required Skills:

• Final year or completed undergraduate degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, and mitigation strategies.
• Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, Elastic Security preferred).
• Experience with anti-virus/EDR solutions and endpoint hardening.
• Basic knowledge of threat intelligence tools and common IOCs.
• Experience securing macOS, Windows, and Linux systems.
• Experience with identity and access management systems (Active Directory, Okta, Azure AD).
• Development or scripting skills (Java, Python, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Go preferred).
• Understanding of network and web protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS).
• Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills.

Education:

• Undergraduate degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (final year or completed).

Experience:

• Practical experience with security tools, endpoint protection, and access management.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence and incident response workflows.

Good to Have:

• Development or scripting experience.
• Knowledge of multiple operating systems and network protocols.
• Exposure to threat hunting and SIEM configuration.
