Pi KYC AI upgrades are speeding up identity verification and reducing delays in Mainnet migration, according to the Pi Core Team. The new system uses advanced AI tools to support both Standard KYC and Fast Track KYC processes.
AI Enhances Standard KYC
The Pi network has integrated new AI technology into its Standard KYC process. This upgrade uses the same system that powers Pi Fast Track KYC. The goal is to process applications faster while keeping accuracy high.
The AI now completes half of the assessments currently done by human validators. This shift cuts waiting time and reduces the backlog of applications.
Impact of the New System
Pi Fast Track KYC was launched a few months ago for new users and non-Pioneers. It helps them create Mainnet wallets and join the ecosystem. However, only Standard KYC enables Mainnet migration.
After reviewing data from Fast Track KYC, the team integrated its technology into Standard KYC. The new AI support:
- Addresses validator shortages in some countries.
- Unblocks migration for more Pioneers.
- Reduces human validation workload.
- Limits the sensitive data shown to validators.
AI Still Works With Human Validators
The AI system uses strict rules to prevent false approvals. When uncertain, it forwards the case to human validators. This design keeps the process reliable and allows validators to correct false negatives.
Validators continue to play an important role. They support the network by confirming identity, protecting account integrity and enabling Mainnet migration.
Efficient Use of Human Resources
With less manual work needed, the saved human effort can shift to new tasks in the Pi ecosystem. These tasks may include human feedback for AI models and reinforcement training.
The team said that accurate and scalable identity verification remains central to Pi’s long-term vision.
Strengthening the Network
The integration supports the network’s goal of creating a verified and trusted blockchain. It promotes new apps and utilities that require identity assurance. It also ensures a more secure environment for external Web3 and AI services.
The Core Team said the update will make the system faster and easier to scale as the number of users grows.
Validator Rewards Update
The first set of validator rewards is being prepared. The team explained that the process is complex due to the large amount of data collected since 2021.
The work requires analyzing hundreds of millions of task records, ensuring fairness, and confirming accuracy before releasing rewards on Mainnet.
The target for deployment is the end of Q1 2026.
Updated KYC and Migration Numbers
The Pi Network recently shared new figures from its KYC system.
There are about 3 million Tentatively KYC’d Pioneers who can self-unblock by completing their liveness checks.
Current statistics show:
- 17.5 million Pioneers fully passed KYC
- 15.7 million Pioneers migrated to Mainnet
Pioneers who passed KYC must complete the Mainnet Checklist. This includes confirming wallets, enabling 2FA and signing terms for receiving tokens.
Conclusion
The latest Pi KYC AI upgrades mark a major step toward a faster and more reliable verification process. They also support the broader goal of building a secure, identity-verified ecosystem that can grow within Web3 and AI industries.
