Job Description
TRL Space Rwanda is building a local space ecosystem for satellite manufacturing, integration, deployment, operations, and services in Rwanda and across Africa. The role involves managing spacecraft/system/subsystem projects, ensuring compliance with ECSS standards, coordinating teams and partners, overseeing engineering lifecycles, and ensuring quality, deadlines, and customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements
- Manage projects according to ECSS and internal project handbook
- Ensure deadlines, quality, and outputs are met
- Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and partners
- Lead development, qualification, and delivery of assigned spacecraft/system/subsystem
- Oversee system engineering lifecycle and change management
- Develop operations concepts, system/product designs, and requirements management
- Conduct technical risk management, interface definition, and control
- Create and implement test methods and plans through deployment
- Perform simulations and analyses across spacecraft/system/subsystem functions
- Track and verify spacecraft/system/subsystem requirements
- Develop interface specifications and design documents in collaboration with team members
- Lead customer and internal meetings, facilitate technical exchanges
- Participate in verification and testing
- Support program management, schedule tracking, and product management
Education
- Degree in a relevant engineering or scientific field (implied though not explicitly stated in the description)
Experience
- At least 6 years of experience in system engineering
- Previous experience with ESA or other space agency projects (beneficial but not mandatory)
