BSC Becomes Authorized Starlink Reseller in Rwanda

Starlink satellite dish installed in Rwanda as BSC becomes an authorized reseller of Starlink internet.

Rwandan internet infrastructure and service provider BSC has officially received authorization to distribute Starlink internet services in Rwanda.

Starlink operates under SpaceX, the aerospace company founded by Elon Musk, and delivers satellite-based internet connectivity worldwide.

Expanding High-Speed Internet Access

Starlink provides satellite internet using wireless technology, enabling connectivity in remote and rural areas where traditional fiber or mobile broadband networks are limited or unavailable.

Since December 2025, BSC and Starlink have entered into a partnership that officially designates BSC as an authorized reseller in Rwanda. According to Ndoli Mitali, Head of Commercial at BSC, the company holds certification from the Rwanda Space Agency to distribute the service.

Mitali emphasized that customers purchasing Starlink through BSC receive the same quality and technical support as if they were dealing directly with the provider. He added that BSC offers tailored packages particularly suited for healthcare institutions, educational institutions, and small non-profit organizations.

Affordable Packages for SMEs

BSC is preparing to launch new packages specifically designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). These packages are expected to be introduced within two months and will offer high-speed connectivity of up to 300 Mbps at competitive prices.

The company noted that purchasing Starlink through BSC shields subscribers from potential operational changes made by SpaceX, as such adjustments would be handled between the two companies without affecting customers.

Strong National Infrastructure

Founded in 2010, BSC initially focused on building nationwide fiber optic infrastructure across Rwanda. The company later expanded into constructing internet communication towers and retailing connectivity services.

Currently, BSC’s internet towers cover more than 92% of the country, while its fiber optic network reaches all districts nationwide. The company initially served government institutions but has since expanded to the private sector, which now accounts for approximately 35% of its subscribers.

BSC previously provided internet connectivity during the UCI Road World Championships held in Kigali, further strengthening its reputation as a reliable internet service provider.

Customers interested in purchasing Starlink through BSC can visit the company’s website, social media platforms, or call 4141 for more information.

Boosting Rwanda’s Digital Transformation

The partnership between BSC and Starlink is expected to significantly enhance Rwanda’s digital transformation efforts, especially in underserved rural communities and among small businesses seeking reliable high-speed internet access.
