What you should know about the 2025 Volkswagen ID. Buzz recently unveiled in Kigali

In everyday life, people have different ways of enjoying themselves. What matters most is not how you do it, but the experience you take from it. Some prefer long road trips, while others enjoy outings with family away from home.

Based on the design of the 2025 Volkswagen ID. Buzz, it is clear this vehicle was built for such experiences.

Recently, Kigali hosted the unveiling of this unique vehicle from the German company Volkswagen, which also has a factory in Rwanda.

The ID. Buzz is categorized as a van and is available in Pro S, Pro S Plus, Pro S Plus 4Motion, 1st Edition, and 1st Edition 4Motion trims. Despite these five trims, all models are based on either RWD (Rear-Wheel Drive) or AWD (All-Wheel Drive).

This means some models draw power from the rear wheels only, while others deliver power to all wheels.

• The Pro S has a single electric motor, powering the rear wheels only, producing 282 horsepower and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds.
• The Pro S Plus has two motors powering the rear wheels, delivering 335 horsepower and reaching 100 km/h in 6 seconds.

Both models have a top speed of 160 km/h.

Other trims increase performance:

• Pro S Plus 4Motion features two motors and AWD.
• 1st Edition is RWD, while 1st Edition 4Motion is AWD.

The ID. Buzz battery has a capacity of 91 kWh, with 86 kWh usable for driving. Remaining power preserves battery health and longevity.

This allows the ID. Buzz to travel 377 km for RWD models or 372 km for AWD models on a single charge. Using a fast charger, the battery can reach 80% in just 26 minutes, while a standard home charger takes 9–15 hours for a full charge.

Inside, the ID. Buzz is designed for family use, hotels, or multiple passengers.

• RWD models can carry seven passengers, while AWD models accommodate six with ample space.

• Width: 1.98 m
• Turning circle: 43 feet (~13 m), making parking and maneuvering in tight spaces easier.

• 1st Edition: $65,495
• 1st Edition 4Motion: $69,995

However, prices may vary depending on location, dealerships, or customizations requested by the buyer.
