Samsung Hosts Galaxy Unpacked In London To Unveil New Foldables And Ai Watch

Samsung Electronics is hosting Galaxy Unpacked in London on July 22, 2026, to introduce the latest additions to its Galaxy foldable device portfolio and a new generation of AI-powered wearable technology.

The event is being broadcast live through Samsung’s official YouTube channel, Samsung.com and Samsung Newsroom. The livestream began at 2 p.m. British Summer Time, which is 3 p.m. Central Africa Time.

Galaxy Unpacked is Samsung’s main global product presentation for announcing new mobile devices, software features and developments within the wider Galaxy ecosystem.

The July 2026 event focuses mainly on foldable smartphones, artificial intelligence and health-focused wearable technology. Samsung said the new products would combine intelligent capabilities with updated designs intended to provide more personalised and adaptive user experiences.

The company has not limited the event to changes in the external appearance of its devices. It is also presenting developments in display durability, power efficiency, health monitoring and the integration of artificial intelligence into everyday mobile services.

One of the technologies expected to feature prominently is Flex Titanium, a new display structure developed for Samsung’s next generation of foldable Galaxy devices.

The technology combines a titanium-alloy film with a titanium supporting plate inside the foldable display. Samsung says the structure is designed to improve strength and flexibility while allowing the display to remain thin.

The titanium-alloy film sits below the organic light-emitting diode display panel and supports it from within. According to Samsung, it provides greater mechanical stiffness than the polymer film previously used in similar display structures.

A titanium plate beneath the display module provides additional support while retaining the flexibility required for repeated opening and closing.

The redesigned structure is also intended to reduce the visibility of the crease that forms along the folding section of a smartphone screen. Crease visibility, durability and device thickness have remained important considerations in the development of foldable phones.

Samsung said Flex Titanium would make its commercial debut in the foldable devices presented during the London event.

The company is also introducing the next evolution of the Galaxy Watch, with a stronger focus on continuous health monitoring and artificial intelligence.

Samsung said the new wearable would use updated internal components and improved battery performance to track health information for longer periods and with greater accuracy.

The Galaxy Watch already monitors activities such as movement, exercise and sleep. The new generation is expected to use AI-generated insights to help users understand their health information and manage their wellbeing more proactively.

The company describes the watch as part of a connected Galaxy ecosystem in which smartphones, wearables, applications and artificial intelligence work together.

However, health data provided by a smartwatch is generally intended to support personal awareness and should not replace assessment, diagnosis or treatment by a qualified healthcare professional.

London becomes the latest international city to host Samsung’s major foldable-device event. Previous editions were held in Seoul in 2023, Paris in 2024 and Brooklyn, New York, in 2025.

The changing locations reflect the global reach of the Galaxy product line and Samsung’s effort to connect its mobile technology announcements with audiences in different markets.

The event also comes as competition continues within the foldable smartphone and wearable technology sectors. Manufacturers are working to make foldable devices thinner, stronger and more practical while expanding the use of AI in communication, photography, productivity and personal health services.

Samsung is expected to announce the official product names, technical specifications, prices, pre-order arrangements and market availability during the Galaxy Unpacked presentation.
