The artificial intelligence company Anthropic has introduced new updates to its AI assistant Claude, adding the ability to generate graphs, charts, and data visualizations directly within conversations.
The new capability is designed to help users better understand complex information by presenting data in visual formats during interactions with the AI.
Claude Can Now Generate Visual Data in Conversations
With the latest update, Claude can create:
- Data charts and graphs
- Visual explanations of datasets
- Simple diagrams that help illustrate information
These visualizations appear within the conversation interface as the AI responds to the user’s questions.
However, the visuals are temporary and are not stored for later use. They update dynamically as the conversation continues and disappear once the session ends.
Feature Currently in Beta Testing
The new visualization feature is currently being rolled out in beta, meaning it is in the final testing stage before a full public release.
According to early feedback, generating the visualizations can take up to 30 seconds, which some users may find slower compared with standard web searches.
Despite this limitation, the update represents an important step for Anthropic as it competes with other major AI companies, including:
- OpenAI
Both companies have recently introduced new AI capabilities in their own products.
Anthropic’s Partnership With Rwanda
Recently, Anthropic also signed a three‑year partnership agreement with the government of Rwanda to expand collaboration in artificial intelligence development.
The partnership focuses on applying AI technologies in several key sectors, including:
- Healthcare
- Education
- Public service delivery
The agreement builds on earlier collaboration between the two sides that began in 2025, particularly in education.
Supporting Rwanda’s AI Development
Under the partnership, Anthropic has been working closely with several Rwandan government institutions, including:
- Ministry of ICT and Innovation
- Ministry of Health
The collaboration includes:
- Providing technical support
- Building digital skills and institutional capacity
- Developing AI solutions aligned with Rwanda’s national development priorities
AI’s Growing Role in Rwanda’s Economy
Rwanda continues to invest in artificial intelligence and digital innovation as part of its broader economic strategy.
Experts estimate that AI initiatives could contribute about $589 million — roughly 6% of the country’s GDP growth in the coming years.
This highlights the government’s ambition to position the country as a regional leader in emerging technologies and digital innovation.
