ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THOSE WISHING TO APPLY FOR A STUDENT LOAN TO STUDY AT THE HIGHER LEARNING INSTITUTION OF APPLIED SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY (RWANDA POLYTECHNIC) FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2025

The leadership of the institution in charge of higher education in Rwanda (Higher Education Council) informs students who completed senior six in 2024 and wish to apply for a loan to begin their first year at the Higher Learning Institution of Applied Sciences and Technology (Rwanda Polytechnic) in the academic year 2025, of the following:

1. Loan applications will be accepted from July 10, 2025 to July 20, 2025.
   No applications will be accepted after this deadline.
2. Applicants must have already been admitted to Rwanda Polytechnic.
3. Applications must be submitted online through the following link:
   https://hecmis.hec.gov.rw/ and follow the instructions.
4. The applicant must correctly fill in all the required information. Incomplete or incorrectly filled applications will not be considered.
5. Eligible applicants are only those who completed high school in 2024, or those who received an “equivalence” from NESA showing that they completed high school in 2024 abroad or through foreign programs.
6. Those with “equivalence” must provide complete and accurate information, including their national ID number, equivalence number (linked to the index number), and all other required details.
