The Water and Sanitation Corporation (WASAC Group) has announced that customers can now apply for key water services through the IremboGov platform.
According to the announcement, the new system takes effect on January 26, 2026.
Services now available online
Customers can now submit applications for new water connections, supplementary meter requests, and water reconnection services online.
WASAC said the move aims to improve service delivery and increase transparency by allowing customers to submit and track applications digitally.
Pilot phase in Kigali
The online application system has started under a pilot phase in the City of Kigali.
WASAC explained that the pilot will help assess the new service process, collect customer feedback, and make improvements before expanding the service to other districts.
Improving efficiency and transparency
By using the IremboGov platform, WASAC expects to reduce paperwork and improve efficiency. Customers will also be able to monitor the status of their applications without visiting branch offices.
The corporation said the digital shift supports broader government efforts to modernise public services.
