Emails revive public attention
Vivian Wilson, the estranged daughter of billionaire Elon Musk, has responded publicly after newly released files referenced her father’s past email exchanges with Jeffrey Epstein.
The documents include emails from 2012 and 2013 in which Musk and Epstein discussed possible travel in the Caribbean. The messages mention locations such as St. Barth’s and the British Virgin Islands. There is no evidence confirming that Musk ever visited Epstein’s private island.
Vivian Wilson comments on timing
In a series of posts on Threads on Saturday, Wilson said she remembers being on vacation with her family in St. Barth’s during the period mentioned in the emails.
“I can confirm we were in St. Barth’s at the time specified in the emails, and therefore I believe they are authentic,” Wilson wrote.
She added that she had no prior knowledge of the emails and said she learned about them when the documents became public. Wilson said she would confirm any additional information if she became aware of it.
Wilson has been openly critical of her father in recent years. She legally changed her name and no longer uses the Musk surname.
Musk denies visiting Epstein’s island
Musk addressed the disclosures in a post on X, where he denied visiting Epstein’s island or flying on the so called “Lolita Express.”
“I had very little correspondence with Epstein and declined repeated invitations to go to his island,” Musk wrote. He added that he understood how limited email contact could be taken out of context and used to damage his reputation.
Musk also said he supported the release of Epstein related documents and called for accountability for those who committed crimes.
What the emails show
According to documents cited by the Associated Press, the emails show Epstein discussing travel logistics with Musk.
In one December 2013 email, Musk said he would be in the St. Barth’s and British Virgin Islands area over the holidays and asked about a possible visit. Epstein later replied with dates but suggested rescheduling after indicating he would remain in New York.
Another email included a question from Musk asking which day might be the “wildest party” on Epstein’s island.
Why the issue matters
The exchange has renewed scrutiny of high profile individuals whose names appear in records linked to Epstein. Public interest remains high due to the scale of the abuse allegations and the prominence of people connected to him.
Observers say the disclosures raise broader questions about transparency, accountability, and elite social networks connected to Epstein.
Ongoing document releases
Authorities continue to release documents related to Epstein investigations through the United States Department of Justice.
So far, officials have not announced any new criminal charges following the latest disclosures.
