Prince Harry is looking for a safe way to visit the United Kingdom with his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and their two children during a trip expected next month.
However, an ongoing dispute over security arrangements continues to make those plans difficult.
Harry Wants His Family to Visit the UK
Representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said Prince Harry is exploring every available option to allow the visit to go ahead safely.
They said he wants to give his children the chance to spend time in the UK while ensuring their safety.
Reports suggest Harry has been reconsidering whether to bring his family because British authorities refused his request for taxpayer-funded police protection.
Security Dispute Continues
The security issue began after Prince Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior working members of the Royal Family in 2020 and moved to California in the United States.
After leaving their royal duties, the British government reduced the taxpayer-funded police protection previously provided to the couple during visits to the UK.
Since then, security arrangements for Prince Harry have been decided individually for each visit by the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (RAVEC).
Court Challenges Were Unsuccessful
Prince Harry challenged the security decision in court.

He lost the legal case in 2024, and his appeal was also rejected in 2025.
His lawyers argued that privately hired security teams could not provide the same level of protection because they are not allowed to carry firearms or access government security information in the UK.
Harry Previously Raised Safety Concerns
After losing his appeal in 2025, Prince Harry said he could not imagine bringing Meghan and their children back to the UK without the same police protection given to senior working members of the Royal Family.
More than a year later, he is still searching for a solution that would allow his family to visit safely.
