Russian President Vladimir Putin has received an invitation to join US President Donald Trump’s newly formed “Board of Peace.” The group will guide efforts to rebuild Gaza after years of conflict.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed the invitation on Monday. He told reporters that US officials sent it through diplomatic channels. Peskov said Russian authorities are now studying the proposal.

Peskov said the Kremlin wants more details before making a decision. He explained that Russia needs to understand the board’s role and responsibilities. He added that Moscow expects further clarification from the United States.
The Board of Peace forms part of a UN-backed US plan. The plan aims to demilitarize Gaza and support reconstruction. Two years of fighting between Israel and Hamas caused widespread damage to homes, roads, and public services.
International Leaders Named to Reconstruction Body
President Trump will chair the Board of Peace. He has described it as the most prestigious committee ever created. Several high-profile leaders are set to join.
They include former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Argentinian President Javier Milei, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi have also received invitations.
The United States hopes the board will unite global leaders and speed up Gaza’s recovery.
