With just over two months to Christmas, the City of Kigali has called on individuals and companies interested in setting up festive decorations across the city to start preparing.
Every year, the city streets are adorned with colorful lights and decorations to mark Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Although 79 days remain before Christmas Day, city authorities have invited private entities and individuals to apply for permission to decorate selected public spaces during the festive season.
Interested parties are required to indicate specific locations they plan to decorate including road intersections, streetlight poles, roadside walls, public gardens, and other appropriate areas.
According to the city’s schedule, approved decoration activities will officially start on December 1, 2025, and all festive setups are to be removed by January 15, 2026.
